It is a pleasure to meet you…

A love of paper (the texture, smell, versatility, and fragility) naturally led to an interest in printmaking. While studying art history in college I became fascinated by the history of paper making. A utilitarian tool to document text, its beauty was immediately recognized, the perfect medium for humans to adorn, decorate, treasure and collect.

Studying Modern and Contemporary art in graduate school, supplemented by spending time at paper mills, professional printshops and print study rooms led to a focus in fine art prints. Working at a New York auction house has allowed me a unique, hands on exposure to a vast array of material from Old Master woodcuts to the most recent in technical innovations. All of these experiences have only made me more fascinated by the medium, process and creative genius that goes on between the collaboration between artist and printer.

You will find me bounding around town, checking out exhibitions, rolling up my sleeves at the Lower East Side Printshop, soaking up lectures and devouring auction results, reviews and the recent literature. I can’t wait for you to join me!

All my best,

the Print Maven
